This apartment is located on Via Vinegia, a small street in the historic centre of Florence. It just a few steps from Santa Croce Basilica (the largest Franciscan church either) and The Uffizi Gallery, one of the world's finest museums, which houses a huge artistic heritage, including some Botticelli's, Caravaggio's, Leonardo da Vinci's and Michelangelo's paintings. 
From the apartment it is possible to reach all the popular sites in Florence on foot: Piazza Duomo (and its breathtaking Cathedral), Via Calzaiuoli, Piazza Signoria, Ponte Vecchio...
You will have no trouble finding restaurants and shops that will meet all of your needs: the entire area is full of typical restaurants, wine stores, trattorie and shops of all kinds.
As for public transportation, the main railway station (Santa Maria Novella) is only 10-15 minutes away on foot.

The property:

This beautiful and cozy apartment is located on the 3rd floor (lift unavailable). It is decorated with beautiful, typical Tuscan furniture and has a welcoming atmosphere.
The apartment consists of a living room with a double sofa bed, 1 bedroom with a queen sized bed, an equipped kitchen with a dining area, a loft with a single bed and a bathroom with a shower. Please note that the loft is not separated from the living room by any walls, so there is not much privacy.
There is also a very nice terrace accessible from the kitchen, where you can take your meals during the warm season.
The apartment is provided a LCD screen TV set (Italian TV only), a washing machine, a DVD and a CD player, an iron and a toaster. A mobile phone for incoming calls is also available - avoid paying extra fees when you're abroad!
The size of the apartment is about 43 square metres.

Tourist tax (not included in the price): 1 euros per person per night. This tax is not included in the apartment rates, has to be paid upon check in, is not appliable to children under 10 years, and can be applied for a maximum of 10 nights.
