The Pantheon is definitely one of those spots in Rome that you do not want to miss! Originally a temple dedicated to the 7 planet divinities built by Agrippa in 25 BC, it became a Christian Church in the 7th Century, and it currently watches over the tombs of several royals, artists and architects of the most recent Italian History. The perfect circular hole in the dome is not to be missed - can you believe that rain does not get in through it?
Piazza Navona is one of the most famous squares in Rome, definitely a must for those who visit the Eternal City, and one of the favourite spots among Romans. Its three fountains (including the central one, which appears in all the books about Rome), the colourful restaurants and the churches give Piazza Navona a lively feeling during the day (when artists gather around to sell lovely pictures) and a magical atmosphere at night. You'll absolutely love sitting at a bench as the band from the restaurant next to you plays Italian music.
Campo dei Fiori is very close by and if you walk down Corso Vittorio Emanuele you'll be able to reach all the important sites in Rome: Largo Argentina, Piazza Venezia, the Roman Forum, the Coliseum...
