This is, without a single doubt, one of the few districts in Venice that have managed to keep the real Venetian atmosphere, away from the touristic ghettos that have been built up around the most popular places. The old houses in Cannaregio have witnessed some of the most important historical and artistic events in the laguna: the Campo dei Gesuiti sports the church that guards one of Tiziano's latest works of art, and the Oratorio dei Crociferi keeps Young Jacopo Palma's striking paintings. The old Scuola della Misericordia is also nearby, very close to Chiesa della Madonna dell'Orto, which keeps some lovely works by Tintoretto. The Jewish Ghetto is also in this district: it is the oldest one in History, and has been kept exactly the way it was throughout the years.

Security deposit:
